HDM Tubes has started the UK’s first Spirally Welded Pipe mill for the foundation industry.
HDM’s Cardiff Mill is located in the ABP Docks and has direct access to port facilities which enables the handling and loading of long piles.
HDM Tubes can produce up to 3m OD, 32mm wall thickness with special coatings and special design attachments such as clutch/interlock, pile shoes, and rings etc. as well as pipe end bevelling.
HDM has a proven international track record over 4 continents: Europe, Africa, North and South America.

- Surface Preparation: For the purpose of achieving effective performance in internal or external surfaces where the corrosion protection systems will be applied, satisfactory surface roughness and cleanliness (SA2,5 / SA3) is obtained by using appropriate abrasives for the system.
- Epoxy Coating: Outside Epoxy coating systems are preferred for piles splash zone’s for marine foundation works in order to protect steel surface from corrosion. Epoxy Coatings are applied as per AWWA C-210, NFA 49709, TS EN 10289
